- Professional Architect-Engineer firm to provide design services in support of construction within Building 41 at the New Mexico VA Health Care System, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Albuquerque, NM 87108 This project will increase the capacity of the Health Clinics at this facility. This work will consist of the renovation of quadrant D and parts of quadrant C on the sixth floor of Building 41 (Hospital) to convert space originally designed for inpatient care to better accommodate an outpatient clinic. Services will consist of detailed preparation for working drawings, specifications, support documents plus construction period services, as builting, plus, record drawings for, Project 501-315, Medical Subspecialty/Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion Building 41. The evaluation criteria for selection and contract award, in descending order of relative importance, are as follows: (1) Recent specialized experience of firm in type of work required, (2) Professional capacity of the firm to accomplish the contemplated work within the time and cost limitations, (3) Professional qualifications of the staff, sub contractors and consultants to be assigned to the project, (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and Private Industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance and (5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project. The estimated construction cost is between $ 1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to small business firms within a 100 mile radius of Albuquerque, NM. Architectural-Engineering firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit two (2) completed Standard Form 330-Architect-Engineer Qualifications for this specific project, no later than March 8, 2006. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The proposed acquisition listed herein is hereby set aside for 100% small business concerns only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541310; average annual receipts cannot exceed $4,000,000.00. A firm fixed price architect-engineer contract will result from this acquisition. The estimated performance period of the resultant contract is approximately three hundred sixty (360) days (this time frame includes design, construction period services and the as builting).
