Description
CDC, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Pittsburgh Research Laboratory located in Pittsburgh intends to negotiate with Particle Instruments, LLC to procure for a Standard 10 lpm ELPl-01; ELPl Electrical Filter Stage; Vaccuum Hose (1.5m) pressure value & NW16 flange connectors; SV25BVaccuum Pump and 10, 20, 30 lpm impactor; Dekati sintered metal collection plate set; impactor collection plate set; aluminum foils; polycarbonate collection foils; Dekati 22mm stencil; Dekati collection substrate spray and mobile rack for ELP1 + pump. The ELP1 measures particle size distribution and concentration of aerosols in the range from 7 to 10000 nanometers in diameter in real time. By placing sampling media (filters, e.g.) on each stage, the particle chemistry, morphology and mass can subsequently be determined for each stage, simultaneously with either aerodynamic diameter or aerosol charge level. The chemistry, morphology and mass measurements are time-averaged over the sampling period, not real-time determinations. The supplied software runs on a user-provided PC, allowing for data acquisition, display in real time and basic analysis, as well as control of instrument parameters. The instrument can be used in the lab or in the field. Firms that believe they can provide the required equipment are encouraged to identify themselves and give written product information to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the date of this synopsis. A determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If the agency determines to compete this requirement, a RFQ will be issued solely to the responders of this notice and a subsequent presolicitation notice will not be issued. All vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to award of a federal contract. Vendors may register at www.ccr.gov. Please address all inquiries to Margaret L. Mooney at CDC/PGO/AAFB/Pittsburgh, (412)386-6431 or E-mail zia3@cdc.gov. All responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency.
