- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being accepted. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management OCRWM, intends to award a purchase order to the responsible offeror who provides a quotation that???s responsive to the Statement of Work requirements and represents the lowest evaluated price. Description: As part of the Yucca Mountain Repository development efforts, the DOE has a requirement to furnish and install a two mile six-foot security fence (approximately 10560 feet), along the Nevada Test Site /Bureau of Land Management border to include a double swing manually operated gate. Location/Direction from Las Vegas: North on Nevada Highway 95 to Lathrop Wells and turn north at first developed road west of highway intersection 95/373. Location is approximately 1 ?? miles north of the turn. Period of Performance: The contractor shall perform the work Monday through Friday. DOE anticipates work to be completed in approximately 4 weeks from commencement date. Site Visit: A site visit will be conducted Thursday, February 23, 2006 at 10:00 am. Questions/Comments: Questions/comments must be received through the U.S. Department of Energy Industry Interactive Procurement System (IIPS) website by close of business February 27, 2006. You may register on-line at http://e-center.doe.gov. Submission of quotations by means other than IIPS is not authorized. Per FAR Part 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration (CCR), all government contractors are required to be registered in the CCR prior to award. You may register on-line at www.ccr.gov. This acquisition will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. NOTE: QUOTATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE IIPS WEBSITE BY THE DUE DATE SPECIFIED.
