- Notice of Intent to award a purchase order on a sole source basis with Wildlife Computers, Redmond, WA. Wildlife's PAT tags have been used previously by NOAA's Ecosystems and Oceanography Division (EOD), Honolulu, HI to obtain accurate and highly consistent data on the behavior of large pelagic fish and have been found to be incomparable to any other similar satellite-linled instruments. Therefore it is in the government's opinion that no other manufacturer has a comparsble unit that provides both location at sea and dive behavior (i.e, tempersture and depth, such as Wildlife Computers' PAT tags. Responsible parties may submit a bid or proposal. The period of performance states that 12 tags must be received by May 30, 2006. This is a simplified acquisition estimated not to exceed the Simplied Acquisition Threshold.
