- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement for the purpose of conducting market research. This is not a solicitation for proposals and as such no contract will result from this announcement. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential q ualified SMALL business sources i.e., small business (SB); small disadvantage business (SDB); 8(a); HUB Zone; woman owned small business (WOSB); or service disabled veteran owned (SDVO), capable of performing as prime contractor for limited Dining Facility Attendant (DFA) services at the 298th Regional Training Institute located at Bellows AS, Waimanalo (Oahu), Hawaii. Bellows AS is approximately 23 miles east of the Honolulu International Airport. The contractor will not provide full food services since th e Government, not the contractor, will retain responsibility for food procurement, storage, and receipt; menu planning; food preparation, cooking and baking; and management and overall operation of the dining facility. Among the duties (but not all inclusi ve) the contractor will be required to do is set up and clean tables and chairs, sweep and mop floors, wash dishes, restock table items, empty trash, etc. No cleaning of restrooms. Duty days are one weekend-a-month typically 6:00am to 6:30pm (Saturday) and 6:00am to 2:30pm (Sunday) with an average meal count of 100; and two 15-consecutive days (Saturday to Saturday) active duty (AD) requirements occuring in March and August typically 6:00am to 7:00pm each day with an average meal count of 120. Respondents s hall be fully capable of performing both the one-weekend-a-month and AD portions. All interested SMALL business sources are invited to submit a capability statement which includes the following (1) List current DFA contract as prime contractor. Experience needs to reflect work performed by your firm and not by or as a subcontractor. Provide contract number, agency, and agency POC; (2) List most recent (if not currently performing) contract as DFA prime contractor. Provide contract number, agency, and agency POC; and (3) If no DFA prime contractor experience, briefly explain why you are capable of performing as prime, e.g., cite other service contracts awarded as prime c ontractor. Responses shall be brief not to exceed two pages and must include a point of contact, email address, and telephone number. Firms submitting responses must indicate whether they are SB, SDB, 8(a), HUB Zone, SDVO, or WOSB. NAICS 722310, size stan dard $17.5 Million applies. Telephonic responses will no t be accepted or acknowledged. Information received will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.
