- This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into a sole source follow-on short-term bridge contract with Professional Hospital Supply for Prime Vendor Distribution Services of Medical and Surgical Products for facilities within the Veterans Integrated Service Network - VISN 21, excluding Hawaii. Period of Performance will be for a three-month base period with one three-month option period. This action is necessary in order to allow the Veterans Affairs National Acquisition Center time to negotiate a competitive procurement. The VA will conduct this procurement using Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 13.501 (a), Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, in conjunction with Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423450 and the Small Business Size Standard (SIC) is 500 employees.
