Description

The Government intends to lease a tractor (freightliner) beginning April 1, 2006 for a 72 month period contingent upon availability of funds in each fiscal year. The tractor shall be no older than 2005-2006, dual axle, fuel capacity of approx. 120 gallons, non-sleeper cab, approx. 455 horse power, roadside assistance 24/7, substitute vehicle in case of breakdown, maintenance and repair plan, licenses, tax, permits, inspection fees, registration, federal highway use tax and all property tax. The government cannot indemnify the contractor. However, the government agrees to be held liable under Federal Tort Claims Act as provided by law. All responsible sources may download the bid at www.fedbizopps.gov. Evaluation factors provided in the solicitation must be addressed in a technical proposal. Pricing schedule shall be submitted in separate envelope. Issue date is appproximately 2/15/06, bid opening is 3/15/06. No facsimile
