Description

THE RELEASE OF THIS SOLICITATION IS POSTPONED. THE STATEMENT OF WORK IS STILL BEING PREPARED. THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE WILL BE ESTABLISHED FOR LATER THIS YEAR. PLEASE MONITOR THIS SITE FOR FUTURE UPDATES. A PROPOSAL DUE DATE WILL BE ESTABLISHED WHEN THE SOLICITATION IS RELEASED. USDA, APHIS, VS has a requirement for a general contractor to provide labor, services, material and equipment necessary to remove an existing cooling tower and associated piping and replace with a Government owned tower on the existing basin. This project is located at National Veterinary Services Laboratories located at 1800 Dayton Avenue in Ames, IA. All work shall be done in accordance with the latest building codes and will comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to Davis Bacon. The company will be required to obtain all necessary permits and licenses. This contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price contract to the most qualified company based on best value not low bid. The successful company will be required to provide performance and payment bonds as well as a bid bond. If there are questions after the solicitation is released, they should be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. This solicitation will be announced for full and open competition, no set aside, and all responsible businesses may submit a proposal which will be evaluated. A copy of the solicitation will be available at this office for review after the posting date. Parties interested in submitting a proposal should monitor the FBO website for amendments to the solicitation.
