- This modification is to change the RFQ number from SP0100-05-Q-4060 to SP0100-06-Q-4073 and the quantities: item 0001 from 22, 543 to 18,000 SF and item 0002 from 4,685 to 8,000 SF. The process for manufacturing these items can be needle point or wet process, this process is left up to the manufacturer. This RFQ is for the purchase of the following: Item 0001: 18,000 square feet, felt sheet; roll form non-woven classification 9R4, 75% wool, gray ? in thick, 4.24 lbs/sq yd, 72 in width, mildew resistant, type I of MIL-F-2312F, NSN: 8305-00-290-5589. Item 0002: 8,000 square feet, felt sheet, roll form non-woven classification 9R4, 75% wool, gray ? in thick, 6.39 lbs/ sq yd., 72 in width, mildew resistant, type I, NSN: 8305-00-290-5590. There will be two (2) deliveries to Albany, GA., commencing 120 days after date of award (or sooner). These items should be made in accordance with MIL-F-2312F. Previous award history: Item 0001: was last purchased in December 1999 under contract SP0100-00-MEB06 for 2,319 square feet at $2.60 per square foot; Item 0002 was last purchased in December of 2002 under contract SP0100-03-C-4019 for 8,915 square feet at $3.60 per square foot. RFQ will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after 23 February 2006 (this is an estimated date). From the Gateway home page, select ?Search RFQs? from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment?) impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
