- Description
- Potential sources sought. The Coast Guard is seeking qualified sources to consider in an award of a contract for Caterpillar Parts. Parts are manufactured by Caterpillar, Inc. Various quantities--Delivery will be F.O.B. Destination, U.S. Coast Guard YARD, Baltimore, MD. Contract to be a twelve (12) month requirement contract with four (4) one-year options to extend the term of the contract. It is the Government's belief that the items required can only be obtained from authorized distributor Caterpillar, Inc. If there are other authorized distributors, you are required to provide authorized distributorship from Caterpillar, Inc. to the U.S. Coast Guard within 15 days of this announcement. However, other potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities can submit such data discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days from the date of this announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered parts: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics), or 2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer. This is not a Solicitation. No Cost or pricing data is required. The parts will be delivered to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistic Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Rd., Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. It is anticipated that the solicitation be available for downloading on or about March 20, 2006. The solicitation will be available by electronic posting which the contractor will be responsible for uploading, the solicitation and all amendments.
