Description

Synopsis Modification 001 - This modification is to notify potential offerors that the RFP documents will now be available on or before 02/27/06. This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice: The Architect of the Capitol is soliciting proposals for the conservation of murals located in the West Brumidi Corridor of the U.S. Capitol Building, Washington, DC. Award will be made based on best value to the Government. Interested offerors must posses the following in order to be considered for award: 1) Key person must have a Master?s degree or seven (7) years of training and experience and must be a Professional Associate or Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, 2) Offeror must have extensive experience in the conservation of true fresco and other murals painted directly on plaster and 3) Offerors must be able to submit before and after photographs of restoration and conservation projects that are similar in scope, size and complexity as this project and were completed within the last 10 years. The solicitation will be available in hard copy or electronically on or by February 03, 2006. Requests for hard copies must be made to Nichele C. This solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION, AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. The tentative date scheduled for receipt of proposals is March 03, 2006. A site visit/pre-proposal conference will be held. The solicitation will contain specific details regarding the site visit/pre-proposal date, time and location. Attendance to the site visit is MANDATORY for all offerors.
