Description
This service project shall be a commercial Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the Sledgehammer 2 Service Contract with Product Removal on the South Park Ranger District, Pike/San Isabel National Forests, Park County, Colorado. Services shall be required for the treatment of approximately 350 acres of sawtimber and POL (products other than logs) material. The project is located southeast of Lake George, Colorado. This project is to remove all sawlog material marked for cutting from the project area, and treatment of POL by masticating, decking and/or removing material within specific cutting unit boundaries. All sawlog merchantable material to be removed shall be purchased from the government and paid for at a lump sum value; payment shall be received prior to commencing on the ground activities of the service contract. The period of performance for completion of this project shall be approximately 109 calendar days. It is anticipated work will begin as soon as possible after award. The successful contractor shall furnish all equipment and personnel necessary to complete this firm fixed-price project. This project is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. NAICS code is 113310; small business size standard shall not to exceed 500 employees. It is anticipated the solicitation package shall be available no later than February 22, 2005 for download from this website exclusively (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). This is an electronic solicitation only. Any prospective contractor shall be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov/) in order to be eligible for award; and, in addition, prospective contractors may use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) as a part of the proposal submission process, via the Internet at http://orca.bpn.gov/. ORCA registration requires that the prospective contractor have an active CCR record and a MPIN (Marketing Partner Identification Number). Registration in CCR immediately is recommended in order to be eligible for timely award.
