ANSWER: The 14 June Industry Day briefings will be loaded to PIXS and will available for download by COB 15 Jun 05. ****************************************************************************** Update: Posting of Improved Labor-Hour Estimate -- 7 June 2005 The following sentences have been modified in the following synopsis to reflect an improved estimate of labor hours for this effort: FROM... The estimated level of effort for this contract is approximately 55,000 labor hours for the first year, increasing by 10 percent per year thereafter for a total three year CORE effort of approximately 180,000 labor hours. The two option years have an estimated 65,000 labor hours each. Customer events will be supported using task orders. TO... The estimated level of effort for this contract is approximately 78,000 labor hours for the first year, increasing by 10 percent per year thereafter for a total three year CORE effort of approximately 258,000 labor hours. The two option years have an estimated 90,000 labor hours each. Customer events will be supported using task orders. ****************************************************************************** Update: Industry Day Announcement -- 24 May 2005 Industry Day Registration and Answers to Set 1 of Industry Questions - 24 May 05 The Air Force Material Command (AFMC), Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Capabilities Integration Directorate at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio will be hosting an XR-SIMAF (Simulation and Analysis Facility) Industry Day on Tuesday, 14 June 05 for government market research purposes. All XR-SIMAF Industry Day participants are asked to register not later than 7 June 2005. Late registrations will not be considered. Industry Day is being held in Area B at WPAFB, AFRL/VA Foulois Hall in Bldg 146. A tour of SIMAF facilities in Bldg 145 will be held between 3:15 pm and 4:30 pm. All participants taking the SIMAF tour must possess a secret clearance and must provide a Visit Notification to the SIMAF Security POC, Ms. Aurzelia Watson at FAX: (937) 904-4073. Visit notices received will receive an e-mail confirmation. Any questions on the visit notification and clearances required may be directed to Ms. Aurzelia Watson or Ms. Tonya Mack at (937) 904- 4058 or (937) 904-4057, respectively. The purpose of the Industry Day is to familiarize industry with the changing Capabilities Integration Mission and the five functional areas that will provide critical Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS+A) resources under long-term, performance-based services contracts (PBSC). Industry Day briefings are likely to contain Sensitive Information and the tour of SIMAF facilities will be restricted to US citizens possessing a Secret clearance. Firms interested in participating in industry day will be required to provide their Militarily Critical Technology Data designator on their registration form which is posted in the PIXS library below. Due to limited seating and space constraints, attendance will be held to a maximum of 4 attendees for any one corporation represented, including their subdivisions and associated companies. Questions related to the technical requirements and planned acquisition strategy will be addressed following government presentations during the 14 June Industry Day at an end of day question and answer session. General questions will be taken prior to the Industry Day event and may be sent to Michelle Hendricks, michelle.hendricks@wpafb.af.mil, 937-255-7210-ext 3006. Sign-in will begin at 0800 hours and the government briefings will begin at 0900 and conclude no later than 1700. Please allow 30 minutes to enter the base thru the Springfield St, Gate 1B entrance and additional 15 minutes to park near Bldg 146 and check-in. Industry Day briefings will be Unclassified. However, SECRET clearances are required for all attendees taking the tour of SIMAF. Registrations after 7 June 2005 will not be considered.
