- Description
- The Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS/BPH) has a requirement for the production and distribution of print/braille children's books for FY06. Print copies of books are provided to producers who are responsible for adding corresponding braille and print information. Distribution is to various regional libraries and multi-state centers for loan to individual patrons. Production shall be in accordance with NLS/BPH specifications and the solicitation document. Multiple awards may be made to the responsible bidders whose bids conform, and are responsive, to the terms of the Iinvitation for Bid (IFB), and whose bids are advantageous to the Government, considering only price and those price-related factors included in the Invitation. New bidders are required to submit samples of the product requested which precisely meet all applicable specifications in all respects. The specifications incorporated in the solicitation by reference may be downloaded from http://www.loc.gov/nls/specs. The solicitation will be posted within the next 24 to 48 hours, at this location.
