Description

The Department of Homeland Security intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to the Honeynet Project. This procurement is for the Honeynet Project to support the National Cyber Security Division (NCSD) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) by providing technical expertise by developing, customizing, and assisting in deploying tools for monitoring, collecting, and transmitting Honeynet Alliance data to NCSD. The contractor shall customize Honeysnap? and Sebek? to allow NCSD access to the required information from the various Honeynets deployed on the internet. The contractor shall coordinate with NCSD and provide personnel instruction of the software customization and policies to include the Standard Operating procedures for the use of the tools. Period of performance is anticipated for six months. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting DHS's requirement as stated herein may submit their corporate capabilities, which if received by the response date of this announcement may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No collect calls will be accepted. The estimated value is of the proposed award is $70,000.
