- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Instruments Inc. The contractor shall provide engineering services for the design of a printed circuit board that adds signal monitoring capability and remote fault condition feedback to existing L6X-P and L2X-P Amplifiers specific to support emergent TDAPS system requirements. Circuit board fabrication, installation and evaluation are also required for (3) L6X-P and (2) L2X-P amplifiers. Input and Output cable assemblies for these amplifiers are also required. Instruments, Inc. is uniquely qualified for this work because they are the original equipment manufacturer. This amplifier modification needs to be performed by Instruments Inc. so as to properly implement the modification, not void the warranty of the original unit and to update the factory design drawings to allow for future replacement units to be of the latest design specification. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
