- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice for medical sharps and pharmaceutical waste disposal. The upcoming solicitation will be issued as a request for proposal (RFP) for commercial service under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. The contractor shall provide medical sharps and pharmaceutical waste disposal at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA during normal duty hours except all Federal holidays according to the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Performance shall be accomplished in accordance with requirements contained in the PWS. The successful offeror shall conform to the standards and follow all applicable instructions and directives as identified by the PWS and with the Joint Commission Accreditation Healthcare Organization (JCAHO), and all Federal, State and local laws applicable to the performance of work. This requirement is offered on an unrestricted basis. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 562211. The performance period is expected to begin 01 Apr 06. The performance period will be a basic period (01 Apr 06 - 30 Sep 06) with four, 1-year option periods. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The Government anticipates the issuance of the solicitation and all supporting documents no later than 09 Feb 06 with a solicitation closing date of 09 Mar 06, 1400 Hrs local. The solicitation shall be accepted either via E-mail or Facsimile to sean.warner-02@travis.af.mil or (707) 424-0288, Attn: TSgt Sean W. Warner. The entire solicitation will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). No paper copies of the solicitation or supporting documents will be issued. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration system (CCR) system at http://www.ccr.gov or by contacting a customer service representative at 1-888-227-2423. All offerors must ensure their Representations and Certifications are current.
