- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to the Applied Research Associates, Incorporated (ARA) to conduct laser drift testing for Rolling Wheel Deflectometer (RWD). These services are essential for the research and development of the RWD as outlined in the 01-CRADA-2003 with the Applied Research Associates, Inc. ARA designed, built and tested the RWD for the FHWA. They have extensive knowledge and experience in installation; calibration and operation of the laser measuring devices used on the RWD. The RWD is owned by the FHWA. Because of ARA?s extensive knowledge, experience and highly experienced multi-disciplinary staff, they are the only known source that can provide the required services. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about February 17, 2006.
