Description

This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Delivery will be made to National Library of Medicine, 38A Loading Dock, 8600 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Maryland 20894. Desired delivery is 2 weeks from the date of the award. Items delivered shall be new material. Reconditioned/Used Material is not acceptable. Provide FOB point (origin/destination). The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Jan. 2006). 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (March 2005). 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (Sept. 2005). 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Feb. 2006). Anticipated award date is no later than February 28, 2006. Closing date and time for receipt of offers is 4 PM Eastern Time on February 20, 2006. PROPOSALS ARE TO REMAIN EFFECTIVE FOR 60 DAYS AFTER CLOSE OF SOLICITATION. Offers may be submitted on company letterhead stationery indicating the nomenclature; part number; unit price and extended price, FOB point; payment terms and any discount offered for prompt payment, the business size standard and any minority classification; delivery date, and Representation and Certifications contained in FAR Clause 52.212-3, including Alternate I. The proposed acquisition will be procured under FAR Part 12 - Acquisitions of Commercial Items. This is a Request for Quotations (RFQ) and no other document will be issued.
