- Description
- The United States Department of Education (ED) intends to make a sole source award to Berbee Information Networks for the InformaCast Desktop Agent system. The Berbee system is compatible with and will be used in conjunction with the existing $141,890.00 investment made by the Department of Education in the InformaCast IP Telephone Agent system, which can deliver emergency broadcast messages to the agency's IP phones using both voice and text. Integrating the Desktop Agent product with the current InformaCast IP Telephone Agent system will enable one individual as a system administrator (e.g., an official in ED's Emergency Operations Center) to simultaneously broadcast an emergency message to both IP phones (IP Telephone Agent) and PC Desktops (Desktop Agent) in a single action to all ED employees or select group(s) based on the emergency. Adding the Desktop Agent module will enable ED to reach all employees, particularly those without IP phones, which will ensure that critical information is broadcasted in a timely manner to each individual. The purchase will include: 1. InformaCast Desktop Agent Enterprise Licenses - (7,500 Users) 2. The InformaCast Desktop Agent Maintenance - QTY: 1 and 3. InformaCast Phone Enterprise Annual Maintenance - QTY: 1. This solicitation will be conducted in accordance with the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253( c)(1) only one responsible source. Berbee Information Networks is the creator of the InformaCast Desktop Agent and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Vendors with compatible products wishing to respond to this notice shall do so in writing to the attention of Thurl Frazier, Contract Specialist. Responses are due by noon on the submission deadline.
