- The USDA, Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), is seeking qualified sources with the capability to fabricate and maintain new professional quality mascot costumes. FNS currently has a mascot, the Power Panther?, for its Eat Smart Play Hard.? Campaign. The costume was recently revised to reflect recommended changes and a prototype was developed. FNS utilizes the costume all over the country and therefore would require up to twenty (20) costumes with the option of allowing the vendor to sell additional costumes to approved State agencies for the same price for a specified period of time. An image of the new costume is attached and full specifications of the costume can be provided to expedite the fabrication process. Maintenance of the costume includes the establishment of a costume reservation and tracking system, housing, cleaning, repairing, and shipping the costume country-wide to various program cooperators for events. FNS is seeking sources that have the qualifications to fabricate and/or maintain the costume. Sources who believe they have the capability to provide either or both of these services to the government should submit sufficient information that demonstrates the contractor?s qualifications. Information shall be sent to Patsy Palmer at 3101 Park Center Drive, Alexandria, VA 22302. This is not a request for proposals (RFP). Requests for an RFP will not be considered a valid submission for this Notice.
