- This amendment is to answer questions from contractors, add a warranty requirement and to extend the due date to 19 Dec 2005. These are the questions from several contractors: 1) I need to know if these items are to be included on these trailers: linex floor and aluminum treadplate walls. Yes 2)Is the treadplate to be on all 4 interior walls? Yes. They are to be heavy duty diamond treadplate wall to wall from top to bottom. 3)The storage closets and chain compartments would have to be built into each unit. Need to know size of each compartment and location inside the trailer. The dimensions for the strap boxes on both sides of the rear are as follows: Outside dimensions: 63 ¾” tall 26” long, and 11 ½ “ deep. Each individual box is 5” wide by 6 ½ “ tall. They are located on both side of the doors The dimensions for the chain racks are as follows: Outside dimensions: 60” tall by 31” long and 11 ½” deep. The hanging bars are offset by five inches. The tallest one in front is at 60” and the lower one in the back is at 55”. The lip on the front of the bin is 10” tall. There are 5 chain rack units in the trailer. Chain racks are located in the front and right front of trailer. The dimensions of the device racks are as follows: Outside dimensions 72” by 32” and 11 ½ “ deep. The bars are spaced 18” apart in the front and 16” for the back bar. The device rack is located in the middle over the axels 4) Please explain cargo light on rear header. I know what clearance lights are on rear end of trailer. There are 3 lights inside the trailer. There are clearance lights on the left and right rear, top part, and top aft. Clearance lights are also on step side and top of tire covers. 5) Is the exterior of the trailer Dark Blue? What does the ".030 red" refer to? The exterior of the trailer is dark blue. .030 refers to the cargo light on rear header 6) Are the rims 8/5.5 or are they to be 6/5.5? Rims are to be 8 /5.5 7) A description of the requirement for aluminum treadplate walls. Is this to be installed full height over the 3/8" plywood that has been specified? Yes 8) The only question I have is the number of units required. 1 unit only 9) Can we use an equivalent to Line X coating. Yes, you may use an equivalent product to Line X. If you do so please provide information on how the product you use is equivalent or better. Shipping is to be included in the price. Additionally, the trailer is to have a 3 year warranty to cover the trailer itself and the custom work inside the trailer. Contractor must be able to respond to problem by telephone within 48 hrs.
