Description

The U. S. Geological Survey, Reston, VA intends to make award on a sole source basis, to Desiree Polyak, Alexandria, VA to acquire data from seismic records, exploration wells that have been drilled in northern Alaska and adjacent offshore areas. The requested information is to provide quality data for USGS geophysical projects. As a result of market research we have concluded that Desiree Polyak is the best qualified person demonstrating the ability to integrate, analyze and interpret complex data sets at a level equivalent to a M. S. thesis. Ms. Polyak has completed undergraduate and graduate coursework in sedimentology, sedimentary petrology, sedimentary geochemistry, structural geology and geographic information systems. During the past two years, Ms. Polyak has performed contract workwhich comprised of compilation and digital editing of subsurface data as well as the preparation for publication of a variety of data and information pertaining to fossil fuel geology. This award will be made on or about February 8, 2006 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541370.
