- The release date on this solicitation package has changed. The new release date is on or about 14 February 2006 with a new response date of 21 March 2006. This specification is for the design, fabrication, and installation of a combustible gas detection monitoring system in the AEDC Range G Test Facility located at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. The system shall monitor constituent gas levels of hydrogen (from 0 to 10%), oxygen (from 0 to 21%), nitrogen (from 0 to 100%), and carbon monoxide (from 0 to 1000 ppm) within the blast tank, range tank, and pumping system to guide the facility inerting process and to ensure a return to safe conditions prior to entry of test personnel. The system shall be capable of sampling and analyzing gases at pressure ranges from 500 Torr to 1 atmosphere at oxygen levels depleted to 0%. Also, the system shall be capable of surviving in a varying pressure environment with a pressure range of 1 to 1,300 Torr. This system will become the primary means for safe operation of the Range G Test Facility. This combustible gas detection monitoring system shall be delivered FOB Destination, Arnold AFB TN 37389. Period of performance shall be 192 days from Notice of Award. Solicitation will be released on or about 14 February 2006 with a response date of 21 March 2006 at 2PM Central Standard Time. All responsible sources that submit a proposal shall be considered. Faxed proposals are not allowed and will not be considered. Request for Proposals (RFP) will only be available electronically at the PIXS website. No hardcopies, faxes, or emails will be available. Please register as a source to be notified of RFP Amendments, Clarifications, etc. However, it is the responsibility of contractors (even those registered as a source) to check the PIXS website frequently to ensure they have all available information.
