- Sleeping Rooms for Veterans Benefit Administration Training The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Benefit Administration is planning to conduct training at the Veterans Benefit Academy located at 31 Hopkins Plaza, Baltimore, Maryland 21201. In support of the training VA is requesting quotes for 64 rooms for 18 nights, from February 27 (arrival date) through and including March 16, departure date is March 17 for a total of 18 nights with a grand total of 1152 room nights. In order to save on the cost of transportation and travel time the hotel must be located within 5 blocks (walking distance) of the Veterans Benefit Academy (31 Hopkins Plaza, Baltimore, Maryland 21201). Due to the long period of training (February 27, through March 17, 2006) VA is requiring that each room contain a micro wave and refrigerator for staff and participates of the training class. The following provisions/clauses apply to this acquisition; 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. This requirement is open market and not subject to set-asides. Evaluations will be based on location, amenities and price in the order listed. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are due not later than 12:00 Noon EST on February 9, 2006.
