- The work includes Construction of a Radar Approach Control (RAPCON) Facility at Grissom Air Reserve Base near Kokomo, Indiana. The building is a 10,250 square foot, single story, brick structure housing air traffic control and training functions, as sociated equipment and support spaces, as well as administrative and staff support areas. Support facilities include both asphalt and concrete roads/parking, curb and gutter, storm drains, landscaping, and underground utilities (water, sewer, gas, electri c, communications). Security features include cameras, lighting, fencing, and security gates with card access. This project is scheduled for award in March 2006. Contract duration is estimated at 540 days. Proposals will be evaluated based on the follow ing technical factors: Prime Contractor Construction Experience, Major Mechanical Subcontractor Construction Experience, Major Electrical Subcontractor Construction Experience, Prime Construction Contractor Past Performance, Major Mechanical Subcontractor Past Performance, and Major Electrical Subcontractor Past Performance. This solicitation is subject to the Price Evaluation Preference for HubZone Small Business Concerns. NAICS 236220. Estimated Cost Range is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. This pr oject is available on compact disk only. Solicitation W912QR-06-R-0030 issue date is approximately 14 February 2006 and approximate closing date is14 March 2006, 4:00 pm, local time.
