Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Ca. is conducting market research in order to identify the availability of sources that can operate and manage the Individual Combat Equipment (ICE) Repair Facility at Weapons Field Training Battalion (WFTB), Camp Pendleton, Ca. This is not a formal solicitation or a request for proposal. This is a sources sought announcement seeking only small business responses in order to determine small business participation in the acquisition. For the purpose of small businesses, the NAICS Code for the proposed procurement is 811490 (size standard $6.5 million). This request for information is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, and the Government will not pay for information received as a result of this announcement. The results of this request may result in a future synopsis announced In FEDBIZOPS as a request for proposal. The government is looking to outsource the current ICE Repair Facility located at WFTBN, Camp Pendleton, Ca. The facility currently repairs FLAK jackets, ALICE packs, and shelters halves. In addition to items mention above, the following items will also need to be repaired at the facility: Drawers, Cold Weather; Gloves Shell, Black; Pullover, Fleece; Undershirt, Cold Weather; Frame, Pack ALICE; Helmet, Ground Troop Kevlar; Poncho, Liner; Poncho (Neck String Only/Test); Shelter Half; Compression Sack; Sleeping Bag (Green); Sleeping Bag (Black); Fragmentation Vest; Vest Tactical Load; Parka, Cold Weather (Gortex); Bivy Cover; Trousers, Cold Weather (Gortex); and Butt Pack. The existing Repair Facility offers the following equipment that the contractor can use in order to minimize start up costs: Pallet jacks and Material Handling Equipment; JUKU DNU 1541 Walking Foot Sewing machines (2 ea); and DDL 870 Light single Switch (1 ea). Your response shall include the following information: Company Name, Company Size and Socio-Economic status (i.e. Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Woman-Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Bu siness, etc), number of employees, revenue for the last three years, relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back no more than five years and your company?s capability to do this type of work. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for such services.
