Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Dugway Proving Ground, Directorate of Contracting is contemplating a sole source procurement with Lockheed Martin Coherent Technologies, 135 South Taylor Avenue, Louisville, CO. 8002 7 for the purchase of maintenance service for near-real-time, continuous cloud tracking systems for the West Desert Test Center located at U.S. Army, Dugway Proving Ground, Utah installation. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), and Federal Acquisition Regu lation 6.302-1, supplies, services, and/or equipment required are available from one responsible source and no other type of supplies, services, and/or equipment will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Supporting evidence must be furnished to demonstrate the ability to comply with the Government's requirements. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed w ith sole source negotiations with Lockheed Martin. This combined synopsis and solicitation for the following commercial items: (1) maintenance service to include repair/replacement of components at no additional charge for the the WindTracer system purcha sed under contract # DATM03 -02-P-0092. The maintenance service also includes software updates, as they become available, for the RASP-VME, RASP-GUI, Server, and related software modules for the WindTracer during the time period the maintenance agreement is active. Updates mean subsequent maintenance modifications and any software solutions necessary to correct affected software modules; and (2) will provide tecchnical support by e-mail, fax and telephone as needed during the time period the maintenance a greement is active. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted), on RFQ W911S6-06-T-0020. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registrati on (CCR). North American Industrial Classification Standard 334519 (500 employees) applies to this procurement.
