- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center, Fort Worth, hereinafter referred to as FMC, plans to award an indefinite-delivery requirements type firm-fixed contract to an individual or small business to provide Catholic Services to the inmate population at the FMC as set forth in this solicitation. The Contractor will provide worship services, confessionals and guidance to the Catholic inmate population every other Sunday morning. The contractor will provide counsel to the chaplaincy as to the needs of the inmate population. The Contractor will conduct special sessions such as Christmas, Easter, Holy Day of Obligation, Ascension Thursday, Assumption of Mary, All Saints Day, Immaculate Conception and Octave of Christmas. The dates and times for the special sessions will be mutual agreed by the Chaplain and Contractor. The contractor will be an ordained Catholic Priest, and will provide a copy of his ordination certificate. A letter from his bishop stating that the Catholic Priest is ordained and is in good standing with the Catholic Church may be used in a place of the ordination certificate. In addition, two personal references and one letter of endorsement from their local religious organization must be submitted before commencing services. The contractor will perform all services in the Religious Services Department at the Federal Medical Center, 3150 Horton Road, Fort Worth, Texas. Services will normally be performed in the Chapel, but on occasions, may be performed in the Jail Unit at FMC Fort Worth. The contract period will consist of a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on February 3, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration-Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website listed above.
