- NAICS Code: 336214 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Radiation and Indoor Air (ORIA), National Air and Radiation Environmental Laboratory (NAREL) in Montgomery, AL intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, for one (1) sample preparation trailer. NAREL facilities incorporate state-of-the-art laboratory technology and equipment and include the latest health and safety techniques, as well as strict monitoring and control of laboratory emissions. Fundamental to the NAREL mission is the commitment to developing and applying the most advanced methods for measuring environmental radioactivity and evaluating its risk to the public. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain a sample preparation trailer to mobilize NAREL's working facilities. The trailer shall be a 102" wide-body, 32-foot tag trailer with double axles (6,000 lbs). The Request for Quotation (RFQ), including the complete specifications, evaluation factors for award, and quote submission instructions, will be available on or about February 2, 2005 at the following website: http://www.epa.gov/oamhpod1/admin_placement/nareltrailer/index.htm. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 336214 with a Small Business Administration size standard of 500 employees. It is the responsibility of interested parties to download the RFQ and related documents from the aforementioned website and to regularly monitor it for any updates to the RFQ. The estimated value of this procurement is below the simplified acquisition threshold.
