- Description
- This is a notice of intention to issue a solicitation for Engineering Services to improve the ALQ-172(V) LRU-10 Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) to exceed original specification and replace obsolete components to improve Reliability and Maintainability (R&M). This will be accomplished by conducting an effort to define, develop, test and evaluate reliability, maintainability improvements to LRU-10. Output will be a drawing package, hardware/software specifications and implementing the selected improvements into a prototype LRU in order to test and evaluate R&M improvements. Period of Performance shall be 12 months. The approximate solicitation issue date is 17 February 2006, with the approximate response date of 17 March 2006. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit sole source to ITT, 100 Kingsland Road, Clifton NJ 07014 (Cage Code 28527). This requirement is intended to be awarded as a Engineering task under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (FA8523-05-G-0002). Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received within 30 days after the date of publications of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
