- Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego (SPAWARSYSCEN SAN DIEGO) intends to modify contract N66001-00-D-5083 to extend the period of performance by six (6) months from February 21, 2006 through August 20 2006. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The requirement is for engineering services in support of the Global Positioning System Central Engineering Activity Facility. A competitive source selection is currently in process but the operational needs of the Navy require continuity of services until a contract is awarded based on the competitive source selection. Only the incumbent contractor, Gnostech, Inc. 650 Louis Drive, Suite 190, Warminster, PA 18974 can meet the Navy's needs without a disruption to mission essential projects. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All interest and capability statements received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330, size standard is $ 23,000,000.
