- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) No. N66001-06-R-0008 for the award of a Firm Fixed Price Services type contract for the collection and destruction of classified (Secret and Confidential) and sensitive unclassified material from SSC San Diego, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), and SSC SD Tenant Commands. All collection is from the Point Loma federal complex, with the exception of the Old Town Campus, located at 4297 Pacific Highway. The contractor will be responsible for following the applicable regulations for the collection and destruction of classified (Secret and Confidential) and sensitive material. This includes but is not limited to witnessing the destruction and providing related receipts, records and reports. While performing under this contract, the contractor shall have a FINAL SECRET facility clearance. Contractors must meet eligibility requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (DoD 5220.22-M) and must be able to be granted a FINAL SECRET facility clearance prior to starting work under this contract. All contractor personnel shall have a FINAL SECRET personnel clearance in addition to briefings on the proper handling of NATO, and other special access material. The Government contemplates award of a firm fixed price contract with a one-year base period and four one-year options for a period not to exceed five years. It is currently anticipated that Solicitation N66001-06-R-0008 regarding this requirement will be released on or about 20 February 2006. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central web site at http://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil, under Business Opportunities, SSC SAN DIEGO, "Open Solicitations." The solicitation will only be available electronically at this web site. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. It is the responsibility of interested parties to periodically monitor the SPAWAR E- Commerce page for updates and new listings. A bidders mailing list will not be established. Matters posted on the web site are not terms of the solicitation unless the solicitation is written or amended to include such matters. 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
