- Description
- This work consists of Maintenance Dredging of shoal material at Kings Bay U.S. Navy Submarine Base Inner Channel. The contract will require placement of dredged material in the Mainside Disposal Area, Disposal Area 1 and Disposal Area 2, which are u pland dredged material management areas. The Contract will consist of Base and Option Bid Items as follows: The Base Bid consists of dredging the following areas: (1) dredge approximately 400,000 cubic yards of material from Station 39+250 to Station 48 +250; (2) dredge approximately 300,000 cubic yards of material from Station 30+250 to Station 39+250; and (3) dredge approximately 10,000 cubic yards of material from the Explosive Handling Wharfs with placement in the designated upland disposal areas. The Option A consists of dredging approximately 50,000 cubic yards of material from Station 25+000 to Station 30+250 with placement in the designated upland disposal area. The Option B consists of dredging the Dry Dock Sill and Concrete Caisson Mooring with p lacement in the designated upland disposal area. The contract will also require furnishing 170 weir riser boards and possible standby time for Naval Ship Operations. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. THIS PROCUREMENT I S A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The solicitation will be issued on or about 31 January 2006 with bids due on or about 14 March 2006.
