- METHANOL FUEL CELL POWER SYSTEMS Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division on behalf of cthe United States Army-Soldier Systems Center , Natick, MA. intends to negotiate and award a purch ase order on a sole source basis with SFC Smart Fuel Cell AG of Eugen-Saenger-Ring 4, 85649 Brunnthal Nord, Germany. This order will be for the purchase of threee (3) direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) power systems (Model No. C20-BW) manufactured by Smart Fuel Cell AG. Each fuel cell includes three (3) bottles of fuel ; a total of nine (9) bottles. Required delivery dat e is March 31, 2006. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determin ing whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
