- By way of this notice, and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the New England District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces its intention to award a sole source contract to Granger, Traber and Associates for mechanical seeding, Ninigret pond eelgrass restoration project, Ninigret Pond, Charlestown, RI. The work consists of mechanical seeding of eelgrass to a two-acre area of Ninigret Pond. GT&A has developed and patented An Underwater Seegrass Seeding Machine that delivers a gel-seed matrix for underwater planting. The only known way of mechanically delivering seeds directly to the sediments is through this method. Therefore, we consider this acquisition to be available from only one source, Granger, Traber and Associates. The contract performance period is for approximately 120 calendar days. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a firm-fixed priced Purchase Order. This notice is NOT a Request for Quotations, therefore, NO solicitation documents will be iss ued. Award is anticipated on or about April 1, 2006.
