- The U.S. Army TACOM-Picatinny intends to award on a sole source basis with UGS Corp. Milford, OH for Software Subscription License Right to Use Support Renewal in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302- 1 ???Only One Responsible Source...??? because UGS Corp. has proprietary software rights, copyrighted patent rights, and source codes required to access the software, and is the sole developer, distributor and manufacturer of CORE MASTER MODELER, CORE DRAFTING, SURFACING SET, ASSEMBLY SET, I-DEAS SIMULATION SOLUTION S, I-DEAS MASTERFEM (BUNDLE), ABAQUS DATA TRANSLATOR, I-DEAS AUTOCAD DATA TRANSLATOR, RESPONSE ANALYSIS, MECHANISM DESIGN, MASTER NOTIFICATION, VRML ANNOTATION, and I-DEAS UPDATE TRAINING. The contractor will quote Monthly Cost for a period of performance of 15 months for each software listed above. Quantity is 2 each except for the VRML Annotation which is 1 each. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. All responsible sources, however, may submit a quotation that shall be considered by the agency.
