- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC-SD) intends to negotiate a two-year, non-competitive contract No. N66001-06-D-0056 with Signal Solutions, Inc. Signal Solutions has been performing these highly specialized services since 1996. This effort focuses on the support of F14 which lifecycle ends in FY07. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego C4I Programs Office Philadelphia (SSC-SD C4I Programs Office, Phila.) requires continued engineering and technical support services associated with the selection, design, procurement, integration, building, installation, training, and life cycle support for upgraded systems/equipment to the U.S. Navy's F-14 aircraft currently in use in the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and other "hot spots" throughout the world. Potential systems/equipment to be installed include the Fast Tactical Imagery (FTI), Fast Tactical Imagery II (FTI-II), Digital Camera Receiving Station (DCRS) and the AN/UYQ-78(V) System Variants, which provide enhanced capability for the fleet. Extensive design and prototyping experience along with the specialized knowledge and certifications in both shipboard and F-14 aircraft communications, cryptographic and reconnaissance systems are needed for this effort. The estimated level of effort for the planned period of performance is 30,700 hours at an estimated cost of $1,627,230. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541519. Award of this two-year contract will allow time for full and open competition of any new and upgraded effort for the newer F-18 aircraft. Please see Note 22.
