- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase the following tape/disk back up unit maintenance support on a Sole Source basis from Quantum Corporation, 141 Innovation Drive, Irvine, California, 92612: Item No. 1, Library Type P4000, Serial No. 350EA50474, Description of service: 5X9 next day (5X9 Four-hour Response - four-hour response within four hours during the same business day, Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM, local time, excluding Quantum of country Holidays.); Item No. 2, Library Type P4000, Serial No. 350EA50472, Description of service: 5X9 next day. Item No. 3, Library Type DX100, Serial No. SV0406AKF00028, Description of service: 5X9 next day; Item No. 4, Library Type DX100, Serial No. SV0412AKF00057, Description of service: 5X9 next day; Item No. 5, Library Type PX720, Serial No. FL0422AJB00337, Description of service: 5X9 next day; Item No. 6, Library Type PX720, Serial No. FL0422AJB00338, Description of service: 5X9 next day; Item No. 7, Library Type DX30, Serial No. SV0420AKC00094, Description of service: 5X9 next day; Item No. 8, Library Type DX30, Serial No. SV0424AKC00105, Description of service: 5X9 next day. Coverage dates on all items is January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006. The nature of this procurement is sole source because only the specified items will meet the Government?s requirements and Quantum is the exclusive manufacturer. These items will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. NO SUBSTITUTIONS. All required maintenance items must be new or warranted like new. T hese items will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The closing date is 2:00 pm EST on 1 February 2006. The anticipated award date is 6 February 2006. All items are to be priced FOB-Destination, Dahlgren, VA. Delivery shall be no later than 30 days after award date. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED ON THIS NOTICE.
