- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to enter into a procurement on a sole source basis with EMW Inc to provide services for the overhaul of Airport Marker Beacon Lights used for Marine and Navy Pilot Training and Certification. The Government does not own specifications or drawings to permit full and open competition. The Airport Marker Beacon Light Configuration is proprietary equipment manufactured by EMW Inc, the original equipment manufacturer. The Government will furnish 25 each Airport Marker Beacon Lights to be completely overhauled to meet ready to issue (RFI) condition. EMW Inc will meet the required overhaul delivery date of 45 days after date of award. EMW Inc is NAWCAD certified for accepted test procedures. The Government intends to procure this item under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to POC listed by 09 February 2006 which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Numbered Note 22.
