- THIS AMENDMENT CORRECTS SECTION C, STATEMENT OF WORK, ELEMENT 4--SHOULD READ: THE GOVERNMENT ANTICIPATES ISSUING A FIRM FIXED PRICE CONTRACT. OFFERORS ARE TO SUBMIT A PROPOSED PAYMENT SCHEDULE WITH THEIR SUBMISSION. THE GOVERNMENT UNDERSTANDS THAT THERE WILL BE OTHER DIRECT COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS REQUIREMENT, AND THOSE SHOULD BE PRICED ON A TIME & MATERIAL BASIS. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice and following the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13.5 THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-08. The US Department of Interior, through its Franchise Fund activity, GovWorks, is issuing this solicitation, Number 0406RQ44931 as a Request for Quote (RFQ) on behalf of the US Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. This contract will procure services to test and evaluate both mobile and stationary Radiation Detection Devices. The government will neither purchase nor endorse any of the devices tested. The resultant contract is anticipated to be Firm Fixed Price.
