Description
CRI is the only manufacturer of commercially available nematic liquid crystal tunable Lyot filters (LCTF) with; Apertures greater than 20 mm Wavelength ranges from 400nm to 2450nm USB Computer control Image-preserving optics Bandpasses (FWHM) less than 30nm This device is patented and no licenses have issued to date. CRI is the only manufacturer of commercially available LCTF-based spectral imaging systems covered by one or more US patents. Both the Nuance multispectral imaging system and the Maestro in-vivo imaging system utilize proprietary software algorithms for d ata analysis. CRI is the only provider of the Compute Pure Spectrum algorithm for the correct determination of library spectra for the quantitative elimination of auto fluorescence. CRI is the only manufacturer of liquid crystal based polarization imagin g systems that utilized patented algorithms developed for quantitative birefringence imaging. The government believes that Cambridge Research & Instrumentation Inc is the only vendor that would meet USAMRIIDs unique VetMed requirements. This is not a request for proposal. Responsible Vendors who can provide similar equipment that meets or exceeds the required specifications above can submit their technical capabilities including complete technical specifications and price to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Michell.Sult@det.amedd.army.mil by noon February 3, 2006. This information will be used only to determine if this requirement can be competed in the future.
