Description
AIRCRAFT PROPELLER TEST SUPPORT FOR ICING STUDY Note: This is a Request for Information Announcement Only. Solicitations (SIR) are not available at this time and SIR requests will not receive a response. Information provided by interested parties will be considered confidential or privileged and will not be released in accordance with FOIA, 5 U.S.C. 552(b) 4. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center (ACX-52) is located in Atlantic City, NJ 08405. The WJHTC is requesting information from qualified businesses associated with a combination of NAICS code 488190 Titled " Testing, Service, Aircraft" and NAICS code 541330 Titled "Engineering Services". The WJHTC is hereby requesting information to assist in determining current commercial industry capabilities and commercial sources available to perform the enclosed tasks. The WJHTC intends to issue a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) after reviewing the public responses from this Request for Information. Attached to this RFI is a statement of work (SOW). Interested parties are invited to provide detailed information to support your company's capabilities as it relates to the enclosed task(s) identified in the Statement of Work. Please identify any Federal, State, or Commercial contract number(s) and POC information if available. WJHTC desires to afford maximum opportunity for contractors to provide comments or questions. From those comments/questions, the government may tailor a final statement of work (SOW) that allows for innovation and efficiency within the parameters of the government's need. After reviewing and evaluation the responses from this RFI, the government expects that the resultant award will be a Firm-Fixed Price vehicle. Interested parties responding to this Request for Information should address issues in the statement of work and identify those that may enhance this requirement or identify processes that are uneconomical or not in accordance with commercial business practice. All questions/inquiries must be provided by e-mail only, to Jerry Hendricks at jerry.hendricks@faa.gov. no later than February 8th, 2006. Request for Information packages shall be due no later than February 10th, 2006 2:00PM. Responses submitted electronically shall be limited to fifteen (15) pages and submitted in MS Word or Adobe PDF file format. This Request for Information does not commit or obligate the William J. Hughes Technical Center to issue any future documents. ** Please see Attachment ( SOW ) **
