- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of various Education Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex, Beaumont, Texas. The successful contractor shall provide classroom instruction for Business Education, Industrial Sewing, Culinary Arts, Microcomputer Applications, Advanced Microcomputer Applications, Basic Diesel Engine Repair, Advanced Diesel Engine Repair, HVAC, Building Trades, Major Appliance Repair, Fundamentals of Plastics, and Commercial Drivers License classes. The contract periods for all services will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12 month option periods. The estimated quantities for the base and each option year for each of the vocational education services are as follows: Business Education classes is 240 sessions per year; Industrial Sewing classes is 240 sessions per year; Culinary Arts classes is 240 sessions per year, Microcomputer Application classes is 1200 sessions per year, Advanced Microcomputer Application classes is 480 sessions per year, Basic Diesel Engine Repair classes is 480 sessions per year, Advanced Diesel Engine Repair classes is 240 sessions per year, HVAC classes is 240 sessions per year, Building Trades classes is 480 sessions per year, Major Appliance Repair is 480 sessions per year, Introduction to Plastics classes is 240 sessions per year, and Commercial Drivers License classes 240 sessions per year. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty (30) hours. It is estimated that the total enrollment will be equivalent to a 15 student minimum per class. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, requirements? type contract. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about February 20, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about March 20, 2006. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 611210. The solicitation is unrestricted. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
