Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation AG-05G1-S-06-0002 is issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-08. SET--ASIDE: This acquisition is set-aside to Small Business Concerns. All potential offerors who meet this requirement may submit a quotation for this acquisition. The NAICS Code is 444190 and small business size standard is $6.5 million STATEMENT OF WORK: All materials to be delivered FOB - Destination to Newport Ranger District, 315 N. Warren, Newport, Washington 99156 no later than April 1, 2006. A forklift with operator will be provided at the Ranger District to off load the delivery truck. Contractor shall provide a 5 day notification to the Contracting Officer or designated representative prior to shipping with the estimated delivery date and time. Interested sources shall provide a lump sum price including shipping and handling charges for FOB?Destination for the following lumber: Pressure Treated Rough Sawn Lumber 3? X 8? X 6? rough sawn backing planks = 12 each. 3? X 10? X 6? rough sawn deck planks = 88 each (OR 3? X 12? X 6? rough sawn deck planks = 74 each). Provide Coastal Region Douglas Fir-Larch rough sawn , Number 1 Grade, by the Western Wood Products Association and the West Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau, treated to American Wood Preservers? Association C2 Standard (above ground use) with copper naphthenate in heavy oil (type A solvent), Alkaline Copper Quat or Copper Azole. Incise all solid sawn lumber thicker than 2 inches accordance with American Wood Preservers? Association Standard C1. Submit the following compliance certificates prior to shipping of material to the FOB site: Verification of compliance with grading rules and species of timber from which lumber is manufactured. Provide certification by an agency accepted as competent by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC). Lot certification of each charge for preservative, penetration in millimeters, and retention in pounds per cubic foot (assay method) by an ALSC accredited independent inspection and testing agency. Pressure Treated S4S lumber treated for ground contact 2? X 12? X 12? S4S sill planks = 24 each 2? X 12? X 8? S4S running planks = 57 each 6? X 6? X 10? S4S curb = 20 each 2? X 6? X 10? S4S curb blocks = 8 each 2? X 6? X 12? S4S curb plate = 14 each Provide Western Wood Products Association Number 1 Grade or Number 2 Grade Douglas Fir/Larch lumber treated to comply with American Wood Preservers? Association use category 4C, suitable for ground contact, and which is inspected and stamped with a quality mark or symbol of an American Lumber Standard Committee certified inspection agency. Pressure Treated Glue-Laminated Beams 3-1/8? X 13-1/2? X 26? long glue-laminated beams = 3 each 3-1/8? X 16-1/2? X 30? long glue-laminated beams = 3 each 3-1/8? X 13-1/2? X 16? long glue-laminated beams = 3 each Provide glue laminated beams that conform to the American Institute of Timber Construction (AITC) Specification 117-2001 for combination symbol 24F-V4, Species DF/DF (Douglas Fir), manufactured for wet condition use with industrial appearance. Treated to American Wood Preservers? Association Standard C28 (above ground use) with copper naphthenate in heavy oil (type A solvent), Alkaline Copper Quat or Copper Azole. Incise all glue laminated beams thicker than 2 inches accordance with American Wood Preservers? Association Standard C1. Submit the following compliance certificates prior to delivery of material to the FOB site: Certification of compliance with AITC Specification 117-2001. Lot certification of each charge for preservative, penetration in millimeters, and retention in pounds per cubic foot (assay method) by a qualified AISC accredited independent inspection and testing agency. Certification from a qualified inspection and testing agency indicating that all glue laminated members are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the American National Standard for Wood Products ?Structural Glue Laminated Timber? (ANSI/AITC A190.1).
