Description

Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source: This is notification that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to award as a sole source simplified acquisition action pursuant to the authority under 41 USC 253? (1) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (see Numbered Note 22) to Thomson MICROMEDEX, 6200 S. Syracuse Way, Suite 300, Greenwood Village, Colorado 80111-4740. The reason for the sole source is that this procurement is a renewal of online subscription services that only Thomson Micromedex can provide for the following: PDRel & Stedman?s Medical Dictionary subscription internet user access and IDENTIDEX System subscription for internet user access. CBP intends to solicit only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and award is not anticipated on the basis of any proposal or other information received in response to this notice. (see Numbered Note 22) No award will be made on the basis of any proposal or other information received in response to this notice, as this is a notification of intent to acquire and not a request for proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
