- Notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Wyle Laboratories, Inc., Huntsville, AL in support of Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories administrative by the Naval Air Systems Command?s Metrology Calibration Program. The services will focus on continued engineering technical support in the area of laboratory operation management support, laboratory logistics support, laboratory data products support, laboratory calibration training support, laboratory calibration support, and laboratory quality assurance support. The tasking includes the continuing support of performing and managing systems development and integration, facilities development, facilities management, facilities operation, weapons system logistics support, training development, user training, systems maintenance, and field engineering. The requirement is a sole source action to be awarded as a new contract to Wyle Laboratories, Inc. A Cost Plus Fixed Fee type contract is anticipated. Period of performance will be for one year with two one-year option renewals. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available 27 January 2006 on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.gov. Justification and authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Wyle Laboratories, Inc. possess the required expertise, knowledge and skill to perform the entire effort ensuring continuous support efficiency and effectively in fulfilling the METCAL programs support requirements to fleet/combat readiness of equipment being calibrated, the flow of material in and out of these laboratories, and test decision being documented in MEASURE.
