- DESC: The Naval Medical Logistics Command seeks sources to provide multidisciplinary dental care services at the Naval Dental Center Mid-Atlantic Norfolk, VA and subordinate branch dental clinics and branch dental annexes; Naval Dental Center Camp Lejeune NC and subordinate branch dental clinics and branch dental annexes including Second Dental Battalion, Branch Dental Clinic Cherry Point NC and, Naval Dental Center Parris Island, SC; and, U.S. Army Dental Activity Fort Eustis VA and satellite dental activities including U.S. Army Dental Activities at Fort Eustis VA, Fort Monroe VA and, Fort Story VA. Performance of Health Care Worker services will be permitted at any Department of Defense or Coast Guard military facilities (DTFs), branch dental clinics (BDCs), or other activities within the states of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia, including any and all other activities which fall under the cognizance of the aforementioned Department of Defense or United States Coast Guard facilities (e.g., DTFs or BDCs who have been granted authority under 10 U.S.C. 1091 shall be considered within the scope of this contract.. This is a competitive procurement, set-aside for small business, for a multi-disciplinary health care worker indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ), fixed price, personal services type contract. The total quantity and the specific identity of all clinics to be encompassed will be provided in the RFP. The solicitation (RFP) for this procurement is tentatively scheduled for release on or about 8 Apr 02. Health care worker services to be included in this acquisition include: Definitized positions: General Dentist Services, Dental Hygienist Services, Dental Assistant Services and Dental Laboratory Technician Services. The solicitation will include an undefinitized requirement for Central Sterile Supply Technician, Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, Dental Laboratory Technician, Endodontist, General Dentist, Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeon Orthodontist, Periodontist and Prosthodontist for the contract maximums with a five-year ordering period. The minimum quantities will be ordered via issuance of task orders awarded concurrently with the award of the basic contract(s). Subsequent task orders for quantities exceeding the minimum amounts will be competed between successful contract awardees.
