- The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) (iii). This announcement closes at 10:30 PM (EST) on 23 January 2006. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation number is FA8601-06-T-0053, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334413, Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 8560 (size standard 500 employees). Due to the proprietary design specifications on the plasma tube and power supply, only the original manufacturer can complete the repairs. Therefore, the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). The proposed source is Coherent, Inc., Santa Clara, CA. The items being procured are: 1 each Innova 420, Coherent Part Number 1043284 1 each Zone Charge 1 each Field Repair Charge This synopsis is being published for information purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider any quotations received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice.
