- VA intends to negotiate with and award on a sole source basis a contract to Blackhawk Ventures, LLC. This contract is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. VA North Texas Healthcare System (VANTHCS) has an on-going requirement for the storage of existing surplus furnishings, the receiving & storage of new furnishings, the installation of new furnishings, the relocation of existing furnishing and personal property within work stations, the repair or servicing of existing furnishings and the public display of surplus furnishings being disposed through a Federal Lot Sale. Furnishings may include but is not limited to systems furniture such of the products provided by Herman Miller, Knoll, Westin House, All Steel as well as other components of a workstation in both an office and/or medical environment. This definition does not include Information Technology equipment, but does include the data lines that are part of the system furniture assembly. Design services are provided by VA, but review of the feasibility of the design-in-the-space is part of this contract. (Does it fit?) VANTHCS has 2,000,000 square feet of space located on an 85 acre campus in south Dallas at the intersection of Lancaster Road and Ledbetter. There are also smaller off-site locations located in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX Metroplex. The purpose of this contract is to provide for these requirements under one contract. VA intends to award a commercial-item-acquisition, requirements, service contract that is performance-based. The base award will be from the date of award through September 30, 2006. There are four one-year options. The Contractor shall provide the necessary management, labor, storage facilities, vehicles, tools and supplies to perform these services. Service include, but are not limited to, office equipment & furnishings moving/installation, system-furniture installation and up to 16,000 square feet (government estimate) of storage facilities for VANTHCS. Contractor shall receive shipments for the VA. The storage is to hold furnishings awaiting installation in a climate controlled storage facility. The area served is mainly in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Occasional trips to the Bonham, Texas facility will be required. Bonham, Texas lies outside the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Facilities in Dallas/Ft. Worth include the Dallas VA, Dallas Downtown Facility, Dallas IG office, Fort Worth Outpatient Clinic, Ft. Worth Vet Center, and the VISN headquarters in Arlington.
